Live Webinar Date: 12/16/20 Designing Independence consists of a team of physical and occupational therapists that specialize in home modifications. This webinar will explore how home modifications can increase your independence in a home and reduce the assistance from outside caregivers. We will explore various aspects of accessibility and safety from entryway solutions, bathroom set up, and kitchen set up. Additionally, we will discuss various strategies to medication adherence techniques and how to incorporate aspects of energy conservation into your daily routine. Perfect for professionals, individuals living with brain injury & family.

Speaker:

Jane Sizemore is a native of Raleigh, NC. She attended undergrad at Elon University majoring in Human Services and obtained her Masters in Occupational Therapy from ECU. Jane has practiced occupational therapy in various settings from acute care to outpatient. In recent years, she became a Senior Home Safety Specialist and a Certified Environmental Access Consultant. Additionally, she earned the Executive Certificate in Home Modifications from USC. Jane and her business partner, Rachel, created Designing Independence in order to provide home modification designs that allow individuals to remain independent in their homes.
