Though, the journey after a brain injury can hardly be fully covered in a 1 hour course, the more knowledge shared can allow for empowerment and solutions for the unique experiences related to brain injury. For those looking to expand their brain injury knowledge, may be new to the field, or looking for a refresher, our courses are for you!
This course provides an overview about brain injury as well as the resulting changes and impact. Through case studies, examples, activities, and challenge questions, participants will explore the challenges, strategies, and community options for individuals with brain injury. Specific considerations related to Serious Mental Illness and strategies for caregivers are also discussed and how to help empower individuals to achieving their goals.
This course is targeted for professionals & providers within and outside the scope of brain injury, including care coordinators, case managers, personal and medical health care workers, mental health professionals, qualified or direct care professionals, residential providers, allied health, and anyone interested in learning more about brain injury. However, individuals living with brain injury and their carers can definitely find use in this course as well for learning strategies, resources, or to help advocate for more empowerment to their services.
